A collection honouring the good times of past holidays
The quintessential Italian experience. The spectacular Amalfi Coast is the timeless holiday destination enjoyed by generations of travellers.
A collection honouring the good times of past holidays, ‘Amalfi Forever’ takes the viewer on a road trip around Italy’s most famous coastline, taking in pastel-hued houses, cliff-top hotels and of course, picture-perfect beaches. For many, the Amalfi Coast conjures up images of carefree days spent sailing to Capri for lunch, swimming in the deep blue waters off the boat and soaking up some rays back on the deck. It’s Gwyneth Paltrow in her white bikini in The Talented Mr Ripley; it’s Jackie Kennedy and her sister Princess Lee Radziwill on a girls’ trip in 1962. It’s Gore Vidal’s party villa, where guests included Princess Margaret and Rudolph Nureyev. A storied destination that still evokes the glamour of the 1950s and 1960s, it’s a place that has escaped modernisation, retaining its crumbling palazzos and lush gardens, its pristine beaches and rocky shoreline, where people sunbathe wherever they can find a spot. Today, the smart set head to the terracotta-hued sunbeds at Praiano’s trendy One Fire Beach club, or catch some rays after lunch at La Fontelina in Capri, spending the day in and out of the water as they cool off from that intense Amalfi sun.
